We screen for the following:
- Dictyocaulus (Lungworm) – (separate kit – tested using modified Baermann tequnique) Please select this option from dropdown box under ‘Type’ above.

- Cryptosporidium
- Ascarid (Roundworm)

Pig Worm Count Kit
All kits contain a prepaid returns envelope. Our kits contains all that you need to carry out a faecal egg count for an individual sheep or flock.
We screen for the following:
- Ascarid
- Trichuris suis (Whip Worm)
- Oesophagostomum dentatum
- Strongyloides ransomi (Thread Worm)
- Metastrongylus spp (Lungworm)
- Coccidiosis
- Macracanthorhynchus Hirudinaceus (Thorny-headed Worm)
- Balantidium Coli
The information on both the number and type of parasites can then be used to determine whether or not an anti-parasitic treatment is required. This way you are only worming or targeted worming when required, reducing the risk of resistance to wormers.
